This is an account of both despair and hope, abuse and kindness, crime and virtue, love and hate. It takes you through harrowing tales of imprisonment and freedom, abandonment and redemption, fear and courage, addiction and recovery. It is a journey to healing and spiritual awakening.
The true story of a human being who has experienced both the darkness and the light. It offers a spiritual perception of how they coexist. That the ‘knowing’ of this duality brings a new understanding and meaning to life, oneself and the human condition.
Danger for some is intriguing and curious. I was always one of those kids that if I was told not to do something I would wonder why, especially if my parents were doing it, such as swearing or smoking. That seemed confusing, a rule to not be taken seriously, to be broken. And so it began, the crossing of lines, the pushing of boundaries, the testing and the playing with fire. The ‘getting away with it,’ the achievement, the victory. Or the ‘getting busted,’ the despair, the failure. These are the ingredients of the risk, the gamble, the thrill.
